Our Life in Christ: wrap-up

Here are the themes we have covered

Week 1

We are created in God's image for the purpose of knowing and loving God and others. 

Week 2

Sin broke - and continues to break - our relationship with God and others.

Week 3

We are set free from sin to fulfill our purpose of loving God and others.

Week 4

Godly love is the motivation for the good we do.

Week 5

The nature of Godly love is seeking the blessing of the other; this love will last forever.

Week 6

This series on Our Life in Christ has been all about learning to look at discipleship differently - that is, to see that the goal of following Jesus is to love God and to love people with the same kind of agape love that Jesus has shown towards us. And in learning to love like Jesus, we are fulfilling the purpose for which we were created and for which we were redeemed by Jesus. Love is the defining purpose in our lives as disciples.

I want to thank you all for being a part of this Discipleship Bible Study. I've enjoyed our continuing conversation and the opportunity to grow together as followers of Jesus.

I'm planning for another Discipleship Bible Study in January - I'll send out more information as we get closer.
